A MESSAGE FROM YOUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

As the Board of Directors for the Merit, our job is to represent you.
We want to make sure all owners and residents are kept up to speed
about what we discuss, and the decisions that we are making. This
email newsletter has been created to provide Merit owners and
residents with regular updates on the activities of the Board, and
share important information about the building and our community. If
you’re not regularly on email, be sure to check common areas (the
mail room, and on each parking level’s message board), where we’ll
post physical copies of the newsletter.
In the coming weeks, we will also launch a new website, where we’ll
share our regular Board minutes and other updates. In the meantime, we
welcome your comments and feedback – to reach all Board members,

Join us for a Merit Christmas Party! On Sunday, December 14th, from
3:00pm – 5:00pm, join us as we gather in the main lobby of the Merit
for some holiday cheer with our neighbours! We are looking for
volunteers to help with decorations and to help us prepare some tasty

Winter preparations: In the past few days, we’ve all seen the signs
that winter is on it’s way – starting with a fresh powdering of snow!
While many of the paths and sidewalks around the Merit are heat-traced
to prevent the formation of ice and snow piles, we are putting in
place a contract for snow removal for a few specific areas. The
rooftop terrace is now closed and there is no longer any access until
Spring. All furniture has been put into storage for protection until
the terrace is re-opened.


General Updates As Charlesfort puts the final touches on the common
elements of our building, we’d like to share a few updates basde on
feedback and communications we’ve had with individual unit owners:
The construction elevator will remain wrapped for the time being. The
Board is looking into a timeline for removal. We would like to have it
removed soon but there are still a number of suites that have been
sold and occupancy has yet to take place.

The Board of Directors will be meeting with Tarion on November 26th
for a presentation on the warranty process. The Board will also be
meeting with Charlesfort in the coming weeks, for a general
discussion. 


Time to clean your air filter? During your pre-delivery inspection
(PDI), you may have been instructed that your air filter needs to be
changed regularly. If you’re looking to replace your air filter, you
